Home air purification systems come in 4 types:

  1. Media Filters - this type of air purification system is the most common of all. Its method of purification is through forcing the air through a filter that is usually made up of paper, cotton, or other fibers. It's the simplest yet it isn't the most efficient.

  2. Electronic filters - this type of purification system is also called ionizers. They use charged electrical surfaces to charge ions. The ions then attract the floating particles, and stick to them and bring them down with them. Effective against floating particles, dust, dander, molds, and mildew.

  3. Humidification - uses humidity to kill several bacteria and viruses. Viruses and bacteria cannot stand high-humidity air.

  4. UV Filtration - UV stands for ultraviolet. It is also called as UVGI system which stands for ultraviolet germicidal irradiation. It effectively destroys microorganisms and extremely removes mold, mildew, dust, dander, viruses, bacteria, and other particles as small as 0.03 microns small. This is the most effective system in air purification.


Home air purifications are no longer a luxury, in today's current air situation, it is a necessity. Everyone should have it in their house, especially those who have allergies; they need to have something that would clear all the allergens out of the air they breathe.
